Resistance Training Specialist Level 1 - ONLINE COURSE
Resistance Training Specialist - Level 1
The RTS1 Course is the first step beyond the one-size-fits-all protocols and choreography of personal trainer certifications. This course covers the study and application of Exercise Mechanics (Biomechanics). RTS has been promoted by renowned coaches such as Ben Pakulski IFBB Pro, Mark Coles (M10 Training) and Joe Bennett (Hypertrophy Coach).
What you will learn:
- Recognising and debunking resistance training myths.
- How to effectively analyse and progress exercise based on the biomechanic realities.
- Designing exercise progressions that add challenge, not merely complexity.
- Balancing the risks and benefits of specific exercises.
- Understanding the "functional" vs "traditional" training debate.
- Analyse and select equipment that produces optimal results.
How the Online Course works:
In order to get certified as a Resistance Training Specialist you will need to complete the online lecture component of the course plus 1 (one) practical weekend. The course is split up like this such that the majority of the theory will be covered in the online lecture components, allowing the weekend to be focused on practical application of exercise.
Online Lectures - This includes over 15 hours of online lecture and presentation content that is split into:
- Spine and Trunk
- Lower Body
- Upper Body
The lectures cover anatomy, exercise analysis and application and are very detailed.
Practical Weekend - This is a 2 day practical weekend that covers application of RTS principles in the gym. These practical weekends are collaborative and involve the exploration of exercise and application to different clients and situations. Students must complete the one practical weekend in order to get RTS1 Certified.
